STOLA, incorporated in 2000, is the U. S. National Saluki Rescue Organization. A 501 (c) (3) registered charity, all donations to STOLA are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Since STOLA is an all-volunteer organization, donations directly support our rescue program.
STOLA provides books and eductional materials about the history, welfare and training of the Saluki breed to help reduce the number of rescues that occur. We also provide one-on-one mentorship for people new to the Saluki breed and for people adopting Salukis to ensure that person and dog live compatibly together.
STOLA is beyond grateful for the recognition and 2026 Friend of the Saluki Award from Saluki Club of America in honor of Cherie Fehrman. Cherie is the founder and driving force behind STOLA and it has been through her dedication, leadership and unrelenting devotion to STOLA'S mission to help any Saluki in need that has cemented STOLA's success. In our 26th year, STOLA now has thousands of volunteers across the country and has placed hundreds of Salukis into loving homes. Without the continuing support of STOLA's amazing volunteers, supporters, and generous donors this award would not have been possible. We can’t do it without you.
